Noni Madueke could consider his future at Chelsea and leave within a year of moving from PSV Eindhoven amid a lack of game time.

According to The Telegraph, Noni Madueke is one of the Chelsea players reportedly considering his future at the club. The 21-year-old attacker has yet to feature prominently under Mauricio Pochettino, who could consider selling him to balance a large squad amid new signings potentially arriving in January.

One big problem that Chelsea had in a disastrous season the last time out was a bloated squad. The Blues made so many signings in the summer of 22 and the following January window that it became difficult for Graham Potter to manage the team.

Among those many arrivals was Noni Madueke, who made a big money move from PSV Eindhoven and made a mark. The 21-year-old Chelsea attacker was one of the bright sparks in the second half of last season, but this time he has faded away.

There are some reported issues between him and new manager Mauricio Pochettino, which has seen Madueke lose his spot. It’s not to say the Argentine boss has not given him opportunities, but his game time has totalled only 12 minutes of action in the Premier League.

With Chelsea likely to remain active in January, there are chances of some of their current fringe stars departing. The Blues are focused on offloading some of their unwanted academy stars like Trevoh Chalobah, while Armando Broja also has interest from elsewhere.

Now, Madueke also considers his future at the club, as there are no signs from Pochettino that he could get a good amount of game time. The summer arrival of Cole Palmer has rendered the 21-year-old Chelsea attacker on the bench for large parts as the former Manchester City star looks at home at Stamford Bridge.

As per the report, Chelsea wants a balanced squad after their January business, which could see them sell as many players as they will buy. They are already keen on Gabriel Moscardo and could see at least one player leave the current squad.

Madueke will attract massive interest from fellow Premier League sides, but there are doubts about Chelsea allowing a permanent transfer. They have invested quite heavily in the 21-year-old attacker, which could see them sanction a loan deal to another side for the winger to gain playing time.

Pochettino probably does not trust the winger to play regular football in this side. Chelsea have sometimes felt the need for an excellent winger to change things around, but for the Argentine, Madueke might not be the solution to change things around for the team.
