Tottenham need to pay €20 million to sign Samuel Iling-Junior

Juventus placed a €20 million price tag on the 20-year-old attacker, boosting Tottenham’s pursuit of Samuel Iling-Junior.

According to Calcio Mercato, Juventus are set to demand €20 million for Samuel Iling-Junior, with Tottenham keen on the 20-year-old attacker. Director Cristiano Guintoli wants to raise funds through player sales, with the English winger featuring prominently on his list of unwanted stars.

Samuel Iling-Junior has made a mark for Juventus despite his irregular playing time since arriving from Chelsea in 2020. The Bianconeri seized the opportunity to sign the promising youngster, but now they look at different ideas.

The club could have kept him longer, but because of financial problems, they might sell Iling-Junior for a hefty fee. The 20-year-old attacker has hardly played for Massimiliano Allegri this season. The manager might allow his sale.

Juventus are in the market for a new midfielder amid the bans received by Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli. They currently have targets but not the required funds to seal those deals. Raising cash through sales might help with their cause and bring in that midfielder Allegri so craves.

Tottenham have shown an interest in Iling-Junior, and now they must pay €20 million to secure the 20-year-old attacker’s signature. The price tag may seem higher, especially for a player with barely any importance at Juventus.

There’s every chance Tottenham will negotiate it down and bring it to a more reasonable number. Spurs scouts watched the 20-year-old attacker play for England U-21. His performance at Goodison Park impressed them.

Fulham and Aston Villa also want Iling-Junior, but Spurs have been watching him for a while. Spurs will consider the price before making a move, as they don’t want to spend too much on an unnecessary player.

Tottenham are eager to strengthen their defence and midfield, as those player Ange Postecoglou will need good funds. Hence, Spurs might even negotiate to take him on loan with a buy option.

Juventus might think about it, but in the end, they could lower the price for Iling-Junior and sell him for good. Talks between the club could commence ahead of the January window, with the Bianconeri eager to cash in.
