Fluminense are open to selling Andre Trindade in the January window, provided Premier League clubs fork out their £30 million asking price.

According to Football Insider, Andre Trindade will be available for Premier League clubs if they can fork out £30 million in January. Liverpool have long held an interest in the 22-year-old target, but now they face competition from Arsenal and Tottenham for the Brazilian midfielder.

Fluminense will not regret their decision to keep hold of Andre Trindade during the summer window when Liverpool came up with multiple offers. Jurgen Klopp was very interested in the 22-year-old target, as he wanted to bring him to the club as part of a midfield revamp.

Fluminense remained adamant in their stance, as they wanted to keep hold of Andre until at least the Copa Libertadores final. The 22-year-old was a prominent performer in their Rio De Janeiro showpiece victory.

Andre will attract interest from Premier League sides. Fluminense are open to a sale in January, provided suitors for the midfielder pay their asking price of £30 million. It’s very close to a reported release clause mentioned in old stories.

Despite recent reports claiming Liverpool have cooled their pursuit, the Merseysiders might reignite their pursuit of the midfielder. Klopp still wants a new player in the central positions that would allow Alexis Mac Allister to assume a more advanced role in the system.

The only hiccup for Liverpool is the increased competition for the 22-year-old target, with Arsenal and Tottenham also keen on Andre. The north London duo are looking to sign a new midfielder in January to bolster their squad.

With the money Fluminense are demanding, these Premier League sides will want to negotiate terms and bring the tag down. Not all clubs will enter the January market with a big budget, with Arsenal and Tottenham in particular under some restrictions to spend big.

Mikel Arteta has the backing of Arsenal’s owners to improve the squad steadily. That also extends to spending big on a single player, but there are doubt whether Andre is their primary target for the midfield position.

Arteta would ideally want one of Martin Zubimendi or Douglas Luiz. If both become unattainable, then an approach for Andre could materialise. Similarly, in January, Tottenham could lose some of their experienced stars like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovanni Lo Celso, as Ange Postecoglou will want replacements.

There’s also the question of adding players for the future, and Andre fits the bill. Adding to their midfield might not be seen as a priority by Postecoglou, as the Spurs boss wants to bring a central defender first and foremost.

For now, Liverpool might have the upper hand in the chase for Andre if they play their cards well and early. Arsenal might jump in late for the 22-year-old target, but in this race, Spurs are somewhat third best, with some other English clubs also making their presence felt in pursuit of the Fluminense midfielder.
