Manchester City have reportedly agreed a record deal for Leeds United’s 15-year-old attacking sensation Finley Gorman.

Football Insider has stated Manchester City will pay a record £1.2 million to sign Leeds United youngster Finley Gorman. The Cityzens have taken a big step in their quest to sign a trio of Leeds United youngsters, with the 15-year-old attacking sensation the first to come through the door.

Manchester City recently posted record revenues after a treble-winning season. Their sales sheet showed a good profit for their work in the window. During this period of unprecedented success for the first team, the club should also receive due credit for making the academy one of the very best.

In the last many years, Manchester City have developed some of the best academy stars, and now many are playing at the highest levels. Last summer, the club sold at least £70 million worth of academy graduates, with Cole Palmer’s £45 million moving the most high profile of the lot.

Manchester City keep producing and selling their top academy graduates. They also want to fill spots in the youth side. They have made some inroads in pursuit of top talents from other clubs.

They recently signed Harrison Parker from Manchester United and now have set sights on a trio of Leeds United youngsters. Archie Gray has caught the interest of many Premier League sides, including them.

Incidentally, they are also interested in Gray’s younger brother, the 15-year-old Harry Gray. Leeds United are trying to keep the exciting sibling pair, but they will soon lose Finley Gorman to Manchester City.

Manchester City have reportedly agreed a record-breaking deal worth £1.2 million to sign Gorman. The 15-year-old attacker might join the English champions’ academy in the next few days. Leeds United manager Daniel Farke strongly opposed this.

Leeds United consider the 15-year-old attacking sensation a top talent from their academy. They would have wanted to keep hold of him for the long term. Gorman already had Manchester United’s interest. But their bitter rivals have stolen the march.

The £1.2 million fee represents the highest ever paid for a player in that age category. After visiting their training facilities, the 15-year-old attacker could have chosen to join Manchester City. He could make the short trip to their rivals and must have seen a better career path with Manchester City rather than Leeds United.
