Armando Broja has been linked with a move away from Chelsea amid the West London club’s links with Victor Osimhen.

A report from football.london has claimed that Chelsea could look to raise funds in order to make a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. With that in mind, they could look to cash in on 22-year-old homegrown star Armando Broja in order to make way for the Nigerian.

Broja has been sidelined with a long-term injury this year, and he recently returned from an ACL issue. He will be hoping to establish himself as a regular starter for Chelsea, and it remains to be seen whether Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to give him an opportunity.

The 22-year-old is highly rated in the Premier League, and he has the quality to start regularly for the top clubs. However, he is lacking in sharpness and form right now, and Chelsea might prefer a more proven individual over him. Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world, and Chelsea are confident of landing him.

The report claims that Chelsea could look to sell Broja for a fee of around £30 million. The reported asking price seems quite reasonable for a player of his potential, and he could prove to be a solid acquisition for most Premier League clubs at that price.

West Ham United were keen on signing the 22-year-old in the past, and it remains to be seen whether they decide to return with an offer for him in the coming months. Regular football at West Ham could be ideal for the 22-year-old Albanian striker.

The Hammers need to bring in a recognised goalscorer who can replace Michail Antonio in the long run, and the Chelsea striker would certainly fit the profile. The 22-year-old could develop into a key player for the Hammers, and he would be a bargain at the reported £30 million asking price if he manages to hit the ground running.

The 22-year-old homegrown striker has four and a half years left on his current contract with Chelsea, and the Blues are unlikely to lower they are asking price. Any club hoping to sign the talented young striker will have to shell out in the region of £30 million during the January transfer window.
