Chelsea, Newcastle United enter Kylian Mbappe race

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé has been linked with a move away from the French club in recent months.

He was expected to join Real Madrid at the start of the season, but he ended up staying at the French club. A report from TeamTalk claims that Chelsea and Newcastle United have now entered the race to sign the 24-year-old attacker. Real Madrid have reportedly ended their pursuit of the player.

Mbappé is one of the best players in the world and he could prove to be a sensational acquisition for Chelsea and Newcastle. It is no secret that Chelsea need to bring in attacking reinforcements and signing the World Cup winner would be quite a coup for them.

The 24-year-old is capable of playing anywhere across the front three and he will add goals and creativity to the Chelsea attack. He is likely to improve further with coaching and experience and he is destined to develop into a future superstar.

The French international is already a world-class player and he would relish the opportunity to showcase his qualities in the Premier League. There is no doubt that he is good enough to succeed in English football and he could transform Chelsea into genuine title contenders.

Similarly, Newcastle United have an ambitious project at their disposal and they are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world. They will want to compete for major trophies on a consistent basis and signing players like Mbappé would allow them to match up to the European elite.

It will be interesting to see if the 24-year-old is keen on a move to Newcastle. It is fair to assume that the Magpies will have to secure Champions League qualification in order to attract players like him.

Mbappé has been linked with a move to Liverpool as well. He is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer at the end of the season and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

It seems that Real Madrid have now pulled out of the race to sign him. A player of his quality will have no shortage of suitors and whoever ends up signing him will have a superstar on their hands.
