Nice ready to sell Jean-Clair Todibo amid Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United links

OGC Nice are reportedly ready to cash in on Jean-Clair Todibo, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United keen.

Clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are keen on signing Jean-Clair Todibo. And they have now been handed a boost in his pursuit. A report from 90min has claimed that OGC Nice are prepared to sell the 23-year-old at the end of the season.

The report further claims that a number of English clubs have sent scouts to watch the defender in action this season. In addition, European bigwigs like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are keen on signing the Frenchman as well. Clubs in Italy are also thought to be keeping tabs on the French man.

Todibo has been a proven performer in Ligue 1, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for all three English clubs. Arsenal need to bring in more quality at the heart of their defence, and the arrival of Todibo will allow them to rotate key players like William Saliba more often. The 23-year-old is certainly good enough to play in the Premier League, and he could be a key player for the North London club.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will need to add more depth to their defence, especially with Thiago Silva in the twilight stages of his career. Recent reports have also linked the veteran Brazilian defender with his former club Fluminense.

The Blues have been very active in the transfer market since the change of ownership, and they have invested millions of pounds on new signings. Signing a quality central defender should be a priority for them and Todibo would be a superb acquisition.

As far as Manchester United are concerned, Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are the only reliable central defenders at the club right now. Manchester United need more options at their disposal and the 23-year-old Frenchman certainly fits the profile. The Red Devils tried to sign him during the summer transfer window as well.

Harry Maguire is expected to move on in the coming months, and Todibo could be his long-term replacement. The opportunity to join big Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United can be hard to turn down for any player, and the 23-year-old is likely to be tempted if there is an official proposal on the table.

All three clubs have the financial muscle to get the deal done and it remains to be seen whether they can negotiate a reasonable deal with Nice. The defender has a contract with the French club until 2027 and Nice will be hoping to recoup as much as possible for him.
