Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having 26-year-old Real Sociedad attacking midfielder Brais Mendez in their ranks.

According to a report by Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bolster their midfield in the near future, and they have their eyes set on Real Sociedad’s Brais Mendez. The 26-year-old has been in sensational form in the ongoing season, and his performances have attracted a lot of attention.

Mendez came through the ranks at Celta de Vigo. He made it to their first team back in the summer of 2018. After four impressive seasons at his childhood club, the Spanish international joined Real Sociedad.

Since joining Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022, the 26-year-old has been in sensational form. He has featured in a total of 61 games and has contributed towards 29 goals. Mendez has been a cut above the rest in the ongoing season. He has ten goal contributions in 14 outings and has been the stand-out player for Imanol Alguacil’s team.

His sensational form has not gone unnoticed, and Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks. Spurs have been doing wonders in the ongoing season. Ange Postecoglou has transformed the team into a winning side in a matter of months.

The Australian boss has settled in quite quickly at his new club, and he has had one of the best starts as a manager in the Premier League. Tottenham are currently top of the table, and everything is going just right for them. However, they have identified a few areas that need reinforcement.

They want to further bolster their midfield and have been monitoring Brais Mendez for a while now. The North London club feel the 26-year-old could be a great fit for the club. His versatility could do wonders for Postecoglou as he will have multiple options to play with.

Spurs are keen on having him in their ranks and will most likely make a move in the near future. He is valued at around €30 million, a fee that Spurs can surely afford. But, Mendez still has well over four years left on his deal and Sociedad will try their best to keep him at the club. He is an integral part of Alguacil’s team, and La Real won’t let him leave with ease.
