Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur will have to pay over €100 million to sign Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord.
According to a report by 90min, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Santiago Gimenez. But Feyenoord will demand an Eredivisie record fee to part ways with the in-form striker. So, a payment of over €100 million is required for the suitors to prise him away from the Dutch champions.
Santiago Gimenez has established himself as one of the most productive strikers in the world since joining Feyenoord from CD Cruz Azul last summer. The 22-year-old had spent his formative years in his homeland before turning professional with Cruz Azul. But he has been an excellent performer for Feyenoord.
The Mexican international was instrumental in delivering the Eredivisie title last season. And he has stepped up his performance levels further this term, amassing 15 goals and three assists in 11 appearances thus far. Gimenez’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham.
Recent reports have claimed that Real Madrid and Tottenham are the front-runners to land the in-form striker. While Los Blancos will enter the market for a striker to fill the void left by the exit of Karim Benzema this past summer, the North London club will scour the market for a long-term successor to Harry Kane.
Son Heung-min has played as a striker for Tottenham this term, meaning they need a long-term solution. As for Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes have started up front. So, it behoves them to sign a young striker, with Gimenez being a viable target. Meanwhile, Arsenal and Chelsea are also keen.
Neither London giants have a prolific striker, thus explaining the interest in Gimenez. But Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham need to break the bank to land the 22-year-old. That is because Feyenoord will demand an Eredivisie record fee – currently the €100 million that took Antony to Manchester United – to part ways with the youngster.

So, a fee over €100 million is what it will take for Feyenoord to part ways with the Mexican international. Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Chelsea have the means to afford the asking price.
