Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are ready to fork out €45-50 million for the services of Chelsea target Santiago Gimenez.

According to a report by TvPlay, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are keen on having Santiago Gimenez in their ranks. The 22-year-old is in sensational form in the ongoing season and his performances have attracted a lot of interest from across Europe.

Gimenez came through the ranks at CD Cruz Azul before joining Feyenoord in the summer of 2022 for a fee of around €4 million. Since making the move to the Dutch club, he has taken his game to another level. In total, the Mexican international has featured in a total of 56 games and he has contributed towards 44 goals.

On the back of his impressive performances in the 2022-23 season, there was a lot of interest in him during the summer. But, the Dutch club were not ready to sell, they wanted to keep him at the club for another season as they saw potential for further growth.

Their decision to keep hold of him for another season seems to worked out well so far. The 22-year-old has featured in 11 games this season and has scored 15 goals. He even has three assists to his name. Gimenez’s incredible form has further increased his value and the interest in his services is at an all-time high.

Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing the 22-year-old. The Blues have spent millions on signing some of the best young talents out there but they haven’t been able to get the desired result. Their major concern has been their form in the final third and that is why they want to sign an out-and-out goal scorer. The Mexican international is one of the names on their list.

Arsenal and Tottenham are also keen on having him in their ranks and they are best placed in the race to the signatures of the 22-year-old. The Gunners have quality forwards in their ranks and they have been doing well of late but their manager Mikel Arteta wants to sign a world-class forward who has a different profile to the ones already present in their dressing room and they feel Gimenez could be a great fit for the club.

Meanwhile, Spurs parted ways with their record goal scorer Harry Kane in the summer. And, they have signed a replacement yet. While they have been doing wonders of late, Tottenham still feel the need for a new number nine and Gimenez is someone who can help their cause in the short as well as long run.

According to the report, the Dutch will look for around €45-50 million for the 22-year-old and Spurs as well as the Gunners are ready to meet the demands of Feyenoord to land him at the club.
