Atletico Madrid are ready to go all out to land Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez, a target for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham.

According to a report by Fichajes, La Liga giants Atletico Madrid will do everything in their power to sign Santiago Gimenez. The Colchoneros are looking to add a young striker to their ranks as they plan for the short as well as long term. And, they have set their eyes on the 22-year-old Mexcian international. But Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham are also keen on signing him.

Gimenez came through the ranks at CD Cruz Azul before joining Feyenoord last summer. The 22-year-old has not looked back since and has made quite a name for himself with impressive performances.

He had an incredible debut season with the Dutch club. The Mexican international found the back of the net on 23 occasions and also had three assists to his name in his 45 outings. On the back of his impressive performances, clubs wanted to sign him in the summer but couldn’t convince him about a move.

The interest in his services is still very high, and his performances in the 2023/24 season are a major reason for it. He has featured in nine league matches this season and already has 16 goal contributions to his name. His incredible run has put him on the radar of Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish giants are very serious about their pursuit of the 22-year-old, and they are looking to ramp up their efforts to land him at the club. The Mexican international is valued at around €40 million and Diego Simeone’s men seem willing to go the distance to add him to their arsenal.

Alvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann are both on their last legs, and signing a capable replacement like Gimenez at this stage could help them significantly. But, they are not alone in the race and will face competition from Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Spurs sold Harry Kane in the summer and have not signed a replacement yet. They are looking for a number nine who can fill the big boots of the England international and the 22-year-old seems to be a great fit.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are struggling in the final third of the pitch. Their form in front of goal has been a major concern. The Blues are looking to add a proven goal scorer to the mix, and Gimenez seems to be a great fit for the club.

Arsenal might have two quality strikers in their ranks. But Mikel Arteta is still on the look for a more physical striker, someone who can impose himself and can guarantee goals. The Mexican international seems to be an ideal choice and they are willing to invest in him.
