Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe wants to join Spanish giants Real Madrid amid interest from Liverpool.
According to a report by Defensa Central, Kylian Mbappe has no intention of joining Liverpool despite intense interest from the Merseyside club. The 24-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward has his heart set on Real Madrid and will make the move to the Santiago Bernabéu in the summer of 2024.
Mbappe has been the talk of the town over the past few months because of his contract situation at PSG. His contract at PSG runs out next summer. But, there was an option to extend it by another year. However, very early in the summer transfer window, the 24-year-old made it clear that he won’t pen any extensions.
Following this, he was excluded from their pre-season and was dropped from the first team. The 2018 World Cup winner was not allowed to train with the first team, and they were ready to sell him. However, the situation improved when the two parties met and he was reinstated to the first team. Multiple reports suggested that he gave up a loyalty bonus to calm things down.
PSG did not want to lose out on him for free. They feared he had an agreement with Real Madrid over a free transfer next summer. But, the situation has now been taken care of, and Mbappe will most likely be a free agent next summer.
According to the report, he does have an agreement with Los Blancos over a transfer in the summer of 2024. The 24-year-old dreams of playing for the team in white and does not want to repeat the mistake he made back in the day when he extended his stay at PSG when he could have joined Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, with the French international all set to be a free agent, Liverpool want to acquire his services. A few intermediaries claiming to work for Liverpool recently contacted the player’s entourage. They came in contact with his mother Fayza Lamari, who is a key figure in the player’s decision-making.
But, they did not really get a positive response from her. Lamari made it clear that at this point in time, they do not want to know anything. The response suggests that Mbappe will keep his promise and join Real Madrid instead of Liverpool in the summer of 2024.
