Chelsea’s 24-year-old defender Trevoh Chalobah wants to join Bayern Munich and is still in contact with the Bundesliga giants.

According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Trevoh Chalobah wants to join Bayern Munich in the near future. The Chelsea graduate has gone down the pecking order in the recent past and is expected to push for a move away from the club in the winter. Meanwhile, Bayern are interested in the services of the 24-year-old, and even the player is keen on making the move to Germany.

Chalobah has been a part of the Chelsea setup since his childhood days. He has come up the ranks at the West London club at some pace. The 24-year-old made it to the Blues’ first team back in 2021 and has since featured in a total of 63 matches and has also contributed towards five goals.

While he prefers playing in the heart of the defence, the former England youth international has featured in various positions over time. Last season, he was involved in 33 games and was on the pitch for over 2,200 minutes.

But, a lot has changed since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino. Chalobah has gone down the pecking order and is unlikely to get much game time when he returns from injury. As a result, the 24-year-old is expected to push for a move away from the club in the winter. And, even the Blues will look to cash in on him.

Bayern Munich are one of the clubs interested in him. The Bundesliga champions have been linked with the Chelsea graduate for a while now. They wanted to land him in the summer, but things did not go according to plan.

They are still desperate to add a new centre-back to the mix and are expected to push for Chalobah’s services in the winter. At this point in time, the idea seems to be of a potential loan deal with an option to buy. But, nothing concrete has taken place yet.

Meanwhile, the versatile 24-year-old defender wants to make the move to Germany. The Chelsea academy graduate wants to join Bayern Munich, and he has remained in contact with the Bundesliga club even after the end of the summer transfer window.
