Chelsea are one of the teams closely monitoring Luis Guilherme and were in attendance when Palmeiras play Boca Juniors.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are increasingly becoming interested in Palmeiras talent Luis Guilherme. The Blues were in attendance to watch the 17-year-old Brazilian wonderkid when Palmeiras take on Boca Juniors, but no formal bid seems imminent yet.

The Brazilian market has become a thriving hive for young players to emerge, with more and more European sides looking at their developments. The whole trend accelerated once Real Madrid decided to pay a hefty sum for a 15-year-old Endrick. And many have since followed suit by tracking other stars in Brazil, especially Palmeiras.

Luis Guilherme has emerged as one of their up-and-coming stars, with the 17-year-old Brazilian wonderkid already grabbing the attention of top European clubs. His younger teammate Lorran also has interest from Manchester United and Chelsea. Those clubs, alongside many others, are consistently tracking their progress.

Guilherme, in particular, has become the subject of acute interest from those top clubs. He is at an advanced stage in his development at Palmeiras. He has become a regular at the Brazilian side, with a move to Europe already mooted about.

Fabrizio Romano said Chelsea observers attended Palmeiras’s game against Boca Juniors to watch Guilherme. But he added there are no plans on formal bids yet. The Blues will continue to watch the 17-year-old Brazilian wonderkid.

Manchester United were also scouting Guilherme recently and have been doing so for a significant period. There are other clubs in the mix, too. Real Madrid are looking at the 17-year-old Brazilian wonderkid as part of their five-player shortlist in Brazil.

Chelsea have been one of the most active teams to sign young stars from Brazil. Since January, they have signed Andrey Santos and Gabriel Angelo from the country, with more in the pipeline. The Blues are accumulating top talents from there to form part of their future squads.

Chelsea have competition from Barcelona and Manchester United, which makes the hunt a bit difficult. Stamford Bridge has recently become a hive for young players from all around. That might give them an edge over their rivals in the pursuit of the 17-year-old Brazilian wonderkid.
