Tottenham are keen to explore Karem Akturloglu and watch the player closely before deciding to make an approach in January.

According to Turkish outlet Fotospor, Tottenham are keen on Karem Akturloglu ahead of the January window and are set to watch the player closely in the coming months. The 24-year-old Turkish attacker also has other admirers, but Spurs could approach if the reports are satisfactory.

Some Galatasaray players came to prominence following their sensational victory over Manchester United in the Champions League. The Turkish side plays Bayern Munich next, with the report suggesting 18 observers from different clubs have asked to be present there.

The razor focus is on some of their high-performing stars, including Tottenham target Victor Nelsson, Sacha Boey and Karem Aktutloglu. Spurs are intent on adding to their defence ahead of the January window and had set sights on the Danish defender.

As scouts continue to watch the Galatasaray star, they are also showing an interest in Akturloglu. The 24-year-old Turkish attacker also has other admirers, but Ange Postecoglu might present a good opportunity to star in this side.

Ivan Perisic’s potential season-ending injury has created space for another attacker in the squad. Former Celtic Star Jota is also a target in January for Postecoglou. The Australian manager does not want to seem fixated on bringing his former charge. Instead, he remains intent on keeping his options open ahead of the next window.

A wide attacker seems necessary for the north London side, who also lost Manor Solomon for up to three months this week. Hence, their interest in Akturloglu does not come as a surprise, and instead, he could prove himself on the big stage at Spurs.

Tottenham managed to sign Brennan Johnson on deadline day, but Postecoglou wants another attacker. He is looking to shape his squad as per his specifications.

The 24-year-old Turkish attacker will certainly come from a different league, but he could achieve success with Spurs. Beyond them, he might have other options on the table. The north London side appears like the most interesting destination owing to their recent good form in the Premier League.

Tottenham will decide on an approach in January based on their observer reports. They are likely to keep track of the 24-year-old Turkish attacker during the Champions League group stages.
