Tottenham willing to fork out €30 million to sign Victor Nelsson

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson, whose price tag is €30 million.

Victor Nelsson is a target for Tottenham Hotspur, and a report from Fichajes claims that they are ready to pay €30 million for him. The defender has a release clause in his contract, and Spurs are ready to trigger it in order to sign him in January.

Tottenham have made it their priority to improve the defensive unit midway through the season. They were quite vulnerable defensively last season, conceding 63 goals in the league. They have done quite well to bounce back strongly this season and are unbeaten in the Premier League so far.

Ange Postecoglou will look to build on his team’s impressive start to the season and put together a winning run now. Adding more quality to the side in January will only help to improve further and they might be able to challenge for the title as well.

Tottenham will be desperate to get back into the UEFA Champions League, and it remains to be seen how they fare this season. Nelsson will be attracted to the idea of playing for the North London club, and it would be a major step up in his career.

He wants to prove himself at the highest level, and the opportunity to move to the Premier League can be hard to turn down. The reported €30 million asking price seems reasonable in today’s market and Tottenham certainly have the finances to get the deal done.

The fact that they are willing to pay his release clause is an encouraging sign, and the defender will hope that the two clubs can sort out an agreement in the coming months. Tottenham could lose players like Eric Dier during the January transfer window, and they will have to bring in a replacement.

The 24-year-old could be a solid acquisition for the right price. Meanwhile, Dier is in the final year of his contract. So, it makes sense for Tottenham to cash on him during the January transfer window for a nominal price instead of losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
