Jarrod Bowen has been linked with a move away from West Ham United in recent months, with Liverpool interested in him.

West Ham United forward Jarrod Bowen has been linked with Premier League side Liverpool. But it seems that the Hammers have now opened contract talks with the English international as per Football Insider.

The West Ham attacker currently earns around £60,000 per week at the East London club. But he certainly deserves a better contract based on his performances in recent seasons.

Bowen carried the West Ham attack all by himself last season, and he played a key role in their UEFA Europa Conference League win. There is no doubt that the 26-year-old is one of the most reliable attackers in the league, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Liverpool, who have followed him for a long time.

West Ham must do everything in their power to hold onto him for as long as possible, and it remains to be seen whether they can convince him to sign a new contract with the club. The attacker is at the peak of his powers, and he will want to join a club capable of challenging for major trophies.

Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months, and Saudi Arabian clubs are reportedly circling for his signature. The Egyptian international will enter the final year of his contract next season, and Liverpool could look to cash in on him during the summer transfer window.

The Reds will have to bring in a quality replacement for the Egyptian international, and Bowen has been mentioned as a potential option. The West Ham United attacker is certainly well-settled in the Premier League, and he has proven his quality in the top flight. He will add goals and creativity in the final third if he joins Liverpool.

It will be interesting to see if the Premier League giants decide to come forward with a concrete proposal to sign him in the coming months. If Bowen ends up signing a new contract with West Ham, it is fair to assume that Liverpool are unlikely to be able to sign him.

The Reds will not want to pay over the odds for him and West Ham are likely to demand the premium if the £60,000-a-week attacker signs a new contract with them.
