Chelsea and Liverpool will have to fork out €70 million in order to acquire the services of 25-year-old Juventus star Federico Chiesa.
According to a report by Fichajes, Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in having Federico Chiesa in their ranks. The English clubs are keen on bolstering their flanks in the next transfer window and have their eyes set on the 25-year-old. Meanwhile, Juventus are ready to part ways with the Italian international. And, they are ready to get go of their star winger for €70 million.
Chiesa joined the Old Lady back in 2020 after coming through the ranks at Fiorentina. He initially joined them on loan, but the move became permanent in the summer of 2022.
The 25-year-old was on fire in the initial years at Juventus, and he even helped Italy win the Euro 2020. But, post that, things went downhill because of injuries. Chiesa kept struggling, and things never really got back on track.
However, he has managed to get off to a flying start in the 2023/24 season. The Italian international has featured in a total of five Serie A games and has contributed towards five goals. He has found the back of the net four times and has also bagged an assist.
He has been doing wonders for the Old Lady this season and still has over 18 months left on his deal with the club. But, the 25-year-old could be subject to a move away from the club in the near future.
Juventus are not in the best of financial situations and according to the report, they are ready to cash in on one of their best players. The Bianconeri have set an asking price of €70 million for his services. Meanwhile, Chelsea and Liverpool are two clubs interested in the 25-year-old.
The Merseyside club are preparing for life without Mohamed Salah, who could leave the club and move to Saudi Arabia. As a result, they are looking for a world-class winger and Chiesa surely fits the bill. While the Italian prefers playing on the left flank, he can feature as a striker as well as a right winger.
The Blues have been keeping an eye on the Juventus star for a while now. They are looking to build a team of young superstars, and Chiesa has been on their radar for some time now. They could finally end up making a move for the 25-year-old having learned the asking price for his services.
Both Liverpool and Chelsea have the financial strength to fork out €70 million for his services. As a result, it will be interesting to who comes out on top in this transfer tussle.
