Bayern Munich could eye up a move for unsettled Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale to solve their goalkeeping problems.

According to Fichajes, Bayern Munich are in a position to target Aaron Ramsdale in the next window. The 25-year-old Arsenal star has seemed unsettled after Mikel Arteta decided to install David Raya against Everton. But it is still early days to speculate a move away from north London.

Arsenal’s fantastic transfer window ended with the signing of Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, who became their fourth arrival of the summer. That is one position nobody envisaged the Gunners to bring in a new star, especially someone who could challenge Aaron Ramsdale for his place.

For the opening weeks, Ramsdale seemed nailed on to retain his No.1 spot until last weekend. Mikel Arteta chose to play Raya in goal instead of the England international, and the media has since begun speculating about the 25-year-old Arsenal star’s immediate future at the club.

As a reminder, Ramsdale only signed a new contract with the club in May, and Arteta has not explicitly claimed Raya is the new No.1. As things stand, the Gunners boss seems open to rotating his goalkeepers for the season, with both expected to play a chunk of games.

Yet, the media had already mentioned Chelsea and Bayern Munich as potential suitors one day after the Everton game. The Blues are reportedly keeping tabs on Ramsdale, while the Bavarians could eye the 25-year-old Arsenal star as a possible solution to their goalkeeping problems.

As per a report on Wednesday, Ramsdale currently has no interest in joining Chelsea or any other side. He views himself as an important part of Arsenal going forward, and the North Londoners are in no rush to decide on a sale, especially in January.

Yet, Fichajes links Ramsdale with a move to Bayern Munich, claiming the Germans could approach the next window. The Bundesliga champions have struggled in the position since Manuel Neuer’s serious injury during a skiing accident and have experimented with some make-shift options.

They even attempted to sign Chelsea star Kepa Arrizabalaga, who eventually chose to join Real Madrid on loan. They also sold Yann Sommer to Inter Milan, and 35-year-old Sven Ulreich has started in goal for the Bavarians this season.

That option does not seem sustainable for them in the long term. Hence, the prospect of Ramsdale excites Bayern Munich. A move for the 25-year-old Arsenal star will prove very difficult as the player is not willing to move clubs now, and there is no absolute certainty he has lost his place.

So, any move for Ramsdale to Bayern or elsewhere will depend on his playing time for the remainder of the season. As things stand, he could start against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday night and keep his place for the foreseeable future.
