Manchester City remain interested in 17-year-old PSG wonderkid Warren Zaire-Emery as they could make a future approach.

According to Fichajes, Manchester City are still interested in Warren Zaire-Emery after a possible attempt during the summer window. Paris Saint-Germain consider the 17-year-old wonderkid an essential part of their present and future, which could make it tough for suitors to sign him.

Manchester City had a fantastic transfer window, signing some essential players. Pep Guardiola wanted an additional midfielder, and the club obliged by bringing Matheus Nunes around deadline day. They also made moves for Josko Gvardiol, Mateo Kovacic and Jeremy Doku.

Part of their thinking also revolved around potential departures, with most signings seen as replacements for those who left. Guardiola also wanted to add a new youngster to his first-team ranks and may have approached Paris Saint-Germain’s Warren Zaire Emery.

The 17-year-old PSG wonderkid has had a stellar start to the season on a personal level. He has started all four Ligue 1 games this season and already looks like an important player under Luis Enrique. The French giants have already emphasised how key he is to their present and future, as they may have thwarted interest from elsewhere during the window.

Some top Premier League sides were keen, with Liverpool and Manchester City among those enquiring. The latter may have had a trump card up their sleeve, as PSG were keen on Bernardo Silva during the window.

Manchester City may have demanded Zaire-Emery as part of the deal for Silva, although the latter has since signed a contract extension until 2026. PSG have every chance to return for the Portuguese star next summer; in that scenario, the Premier League side might seek the 17-year-old.

Real Madrid are also keen on Zaire-Emery. Reports claimed the Spanish giants might move in 2024 to enhance their squad with the 17-year-old PSG wonderkid. Manchester City will also stake a claim as a major suitor for the youngster, which could make him a coveted name next year.

As things stand, Zaire-Emery intends on breaking through this season as an important player for PSG. A move to England or Spain must be considered in the future, as the interested clubs are some of the best in the continent.
