Juni Calafat wants Real Madrid to acquire the services of 18-year-old Club Brugge sensation Antonio Nusa amidst interest from Chelsea.

According to a report by Defensa Central, Real Madrid’s scouting director Juni Calafat has had a meeting with Florentino Perez where they have discussed the possibility of signing Antonio Nusa. The 18-year-old sensation has attracted a lot of attention from Chelsea of late. And, Los Blancos are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks.

The scouting director is convinced about the potential of the teenager. Calafat believes he could be a world-class player in the near future. As a result, he wants Perez to go all out for the Club Brugge forward, valued at €30 million.

The teenage sensation came through the ranks at Stabaek before joining the Belgian club in the summer of 2021. Nusa has managed to establish himself in the Brugge first team since making the move. He has been involved in 46 matches and has even contributed towards seven goals.

While his numbers are not exceptional, the 18-year-old’s impact is quite evident on the pitch. He has the pace to trouble the opposition defenders and has an eye for goal. He has started off the 2023-24 season in fine fashion and has already racked up three goal contributions.

Nusa prefers playing out wide but can even feature as a striker if needed. His huge potential and versatility make him one of the biggest prospects in world football. And, Calafat is quite sure about him reaching the top.

The Real Madrid scouting director has helped Los Blancos sign some of the best talents in the past, and he could once again be crucial to these negotiations. The Belgian club are well aware of the amount of interest in his services, and they are ready to sell him for €30 million.

But, the Spanish giants are not ready to meet the asking price at this point in time. They want the fee to be lowered and then, Madrid could make a move. While Real Madrid consider the possibility of signing the Norwegian international, Chelsea are keen on having him in their ranks.

The Blues pushed for his services on transfer deadline day but they couldn’t strike a deal with the Belgian. However, Chelsea still remain interested in the teenager and will be scouting him over the next few months before once again making a move to land him at the club in January. With Chelsea pushing hard for the services of Nusa, Real Madrid will have to battle it out with the English giants to sign him.
