Chelsea retain Antonio Nusa interest

Chelsea are still keen on having 18-year-old Club Brugge sensation Antonio Nusa in their ranks after failing to sign him on deadline day.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea remain interested in Antonio Nusa. The 18-year-old sensation has been on their radar for a while now, and they wanted to sign him in the summer. But, they failed to strike a deal with Club Brugge.

Despite failing to sign the Norwegian teenage sensation on deadline day, the Blues still remain interested in him. They will keep closely monitoring his progress at the Belgian club and will most likely return for his services when the January transfer window opens.

The Blues have been keen on acquiring young talented players over the past few windows. They have spent a fortune on signing some of the best young talents from across the world. Chelsea are looking to build a team for the future, and they were confident that adding Nusa to their ranks would have helped them in the long run.

The 18-year-old came through the ranks at Stabæk before joining Club Brugge in the summer of 2021. The teenager is already a first-team regular at the Belgian club, and he has been involved in a total of 46 matches while chipping in with seven goal contributions.

Nusa has started off the 2023/24 season in fine fashion. He has been putting in some impressive shifts and also has three goal contributions to show for his efforts. While he prefers playing out wide, the teenager is capable enough to feature anywhere in attack.

The former Stabæk attacker still has four years left on his deal with the Belgian club but is expected to be on the move in the near future. The Blues remain interested in him, and they will continue to monitor him over the next few months. Meanwhile, the player has recently reacted to Chelsea’s interest in his services.

The Blues’ offer might have been rejected on the transfer deadline day. But, they are expected to return with a better offer when the transfer window reopens. Interestingly, Club Brugge did not object to the €30 million move.
