Blackburn Rovers are interested in acquiring the services of the 20-year-old Chelsea sensation Mason Burstow.

According to a report by Football Insider, Blackburn Rovers are keen on having Mason Burstow in their ranks. The Championship club are looking to land him at the club in what will be a late loan move. They want to bolster their attack and the 20-year-old sensation could surely help their cause.

Burstow signed for Chelsea in the winter of 2022 but they decided to loan him back to Charlton until the end of the season. The 20-year-old joined the Blues’ Under-23 setup on a permanent basis last summer.

The young striker might not have been promoted to their first team yet but he has been involved with their first-team in the new season. Mauricio Pochettino has already used Burstow twice. He was involved in the matches against West Ham United and Luton Town.

As far as his performance with the Under-23 team is concerned, the 20-year-old has featured in a total of 30 matches since arriving at the club and has 15 goal contributions to his name. He has found the back of the net on 11 occasions.

While Burstow has been doing great over the past 12 months, he still might not get enough first-team minutes at Chelsea. The Blues might have sold Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic but they have also added a few new forwards into the mix.

On top of that, they are looking to add a new number nine before the end of the transfer window. The Blues are looking to complete the sale of Romelu Lukaku and then focus on bringing a new forward to the club.

If they end up signing a new number nine, Burstow will go further down the pecking order. As a result, the Blues are open to the idea of letting him leave on loan. Meanwhile, there are numerous Championship clubs interested in the 20-year-old sensation.

Blackburn Rovers are one of the clubs keen on having the 20-year-old forward in their ranks. They believe his arrival could help their cause, and as a result, they have been pushing very hard to land him at the club. With the Blues likely to add a new forward before the deadline ends, we could see Burstow join a Championship club.
