PSV Eindhoven will reportedly demand around £25 million to part ways with in-demand 20-year-old winger Johan Bakayoko, a target for Liverpool.
According to a report by Football Insider, Johan Bakayoko is the subject of interest from Liverpool. And the Reds now know how much they need to fork out to secure the services of the in-demand 20-year-old winger. PSV Eindhoven will ask for around £25 million to part ways with him in the ongoing transfer window.
Johan Bakayoko has become one of the most sought-after wingers in the market in the last 12 months. The Belgian international, who has been with PSV Eindhoven since 2019, enjoyed his breakthrough at the Dutch club last season. And he has come leaps and bounds since then.
The 20-year-old has started the 2023/24 season strongly, providing four assists in six appearances thus far. And prospective suitors reckon they can secure Bakayoko’s services if PSV Eindhoven cannot qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Meanwhile, several high-profile clubs, including Liverpool, are interested in the young winger.
The Reds do not necessarily need a winger heading into the final days of the summer transfer window. But amid uncertainties surrounding Mohamed Salah, Liverpool should scour the market for a possible replacement. Several players, including Joao Felix, have thus emerged on Liverpool’s radar over a potential move.
But Bakayoko is also a target, considering he primarily operates on the right flank. However, he is still raw and will need some time to become a regular for Liverpool if he arrives at Anfield. Nonetheless, the Reds are keen on signing the in-demand 20-year-old winger this summer.
