Liverpool are considering making a move to sign Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix amidst uncertainty around Mohamed Salah’s future.

According to a report by Football Transfers, Liverpool could move in for the services of Joao Felix. The Merseyside club are keeping a close eye on the 23-year-old Atletico Madrid forward, who wants to part ways with Diego Simeone’s team. The struggling attacker is also a target for Barcelona.

Liverpool’s focus throughout the summer has been on reinforcing their midfield and adding depth to their defence. They have decent depth as well as firepower in attack and were not really looking to add another forward to the mix. But, the interest from Saudi Arabia in the services of Mohamed Salah has changed things a bit.

Jurgen Klopp and his men are keen on having the 31-year-old right-winger in their ranks for the 2023/24 season. They have no intentions of letting him leave and have made it pretty clear. But, the report suggests that things could change in the coming days because of the money involved.

Salah is considering joining the Saudi Pro League which already has some of the biggest superstars of the game. And, Al-Ittihad are the ones pushing hard for his services. They are ready to give him one of the biggest contracts in the history of the game.

Al-Ittihad are ready to make an offer worth £100 million for the Liverpool talisman. Because of the kind of price they are ready to pay for the 31-year-old, Liverpool have started looking for potential replacements. They have their eyes on Joao Felix, who is keen on parting ways with Atletico Madrid.

The 23-year-old is not in the plans of Diego Simeone moving ahead, and the Colchoneros are ready to negotiate his departure. The Portuguese international wants to join Barcelona, and the Catalan giants have been making moves to secure his services on loan. But, Barcelona might have to battle it out with Liverpool.

If the Merseyside club end up selling Salah to the Saudi Pro League club, they will need reinforcement. And, Felix could be a great option to have in their ranks as he has Premier League experience having played for Chelsea in the second half of last season.
