Liverpool could move for 26-year-old West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen if Mohamed Salah ends up leaving for Al-Ittihad.

According to Football Transfers, Liverpool may have added Jarrod Bowen to their list of potential Mohamed Salah replacements. The 26-year-old West Ham star will carry a massive price tag, as any move so late in the window will prove difficult.

Liverpool are in a bit of a soup so late in the transfer window, as they could yet lose star attacker Mohamed Salah to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad. The Middle East outfit have shown persistence despite Jurgen Klopp publicly insisting the Egyptian will not leave the club.

Liverpool opened the Saudi door earlier in the window when they allowed Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to leave, which has caused mayhem at the club. They have not replaced the experienced duo sufficiently and could make a late dash to sign a new midfielder before the deadline.

They do not want to let Salah leave at this stage and are ready to block any move to Al-Ittihad. The Saudi Pro League club have reportedly proposed a €150 million package for Salah, and the winger will also receive a salary similar to that of Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The money on offer will entice any player in world football, and Salah will indeed show temptation to take up the proposal. Journalist Rudy Galetti insisted the Egyptian had informed the club about his desire to leave. Considering the time left in the window, Liverpool will have to find a suitable replacement, which comes with its challenges.

Joao Felix emerged on Liverpool’s list of potential replacements. And now, they have added Jarrod Bowen to the mix. The 26-year-old West Ham star has two years left on his deal at the London Stadium. But the Hammers have no intention to sell him now.

They might even offer him a new deal this season, but the chances of allowing their star attacker to depart now seem less likely. Bowen started the campaign brightly with two goals and an assist in their opening three games, and David Moyes will keep counting on the 26-year-old this season.

Moreover, West Ham are also playing in the Europa League, like Liverpool, which could help them in their task to keep the winger. Profile-wise, Bowen could seem like the perfect replacement for Salah, but the chances of him leaving, especially for his market value, may not happen.

West Ham will slap a majestic price tag on Bowne, which could ward off the interest of Liverpool. Hence, while Salah might leave for an irresistible offer, the chances of the 26-year-old West Ham star doing the same are remote at this stage.

    Sideways move, won’t happen

No chance whatsoever. Why would we sell one of our best players anyway to a direct rival? Not happening.
