Tottenham could plot a swap deal with Fulham for Tosin Adarabioyo, with Eric Dier proposing to go the other way.

According to Football Insider, Fulham could consider Tottenham’s offer of a swap deal involving Eric Dier plus cash for their defender Tosin Adarabioyo. The latter may also have interest from Monaco and seems to favour a move there, but with Spurs coming in, things could change.

Two London clubs, Tottenham and Fulham, could thrash out a solution for their respective needs as Spurs propose a swap deal of sorts. Ange Postecoglou still needs a defender, particularly as some of his current fringe players could depart.

Chief among them are Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier, with the pair not firmly in Postecoglou’s plans for the season. While the former has featured in games, the England star has not made it to Tottenham’s two matchday squads.

There’s a clear indication that Tottenham would like to offload Dier if a decent offer came in, as he could prove valuable to several clubs in England and abroad. One of them could be Fulham, who could now ponder over a proposal that Spurs are likely to put forward.

Tottenham have remained interested in Tosin Adarabioyo and have been finding a way to plot a move for the defender. After extensively searching the market for other options, Postecoglou may have singled out the Fulham star.

Since reports emerged that Fulham would like to sell him to Tottenham, the north Londoners are pondering over including Eric Dier as part of the deal, plus some cash. With that, they could have an unwanted player leave and get their preferred target on the cheap.

However, the 25-year-old also has interest from Monaco and remains keen to join the French side. However, if Tottenham makes a concerted approach and things look good regarding a move, Adarabioyo might prefer to stay in London than move to Ligue 1.

Hence, things will depend on Fulham’s openness to take Eric Dier as part of the deal and use his experience to help the squad this season. Otherwise, they might reject the idea altogether and demand cash for Adabioyo.
