Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing 25-year-old defender Tosin Adarabioyo from fellow London club Fulham.

Tosin Adarabioyo is in the final year of his contract with Fulham, and he has been linked with a move away this summer. A report from Foot Mercato claims that Tottenham have a strong interest in signing the defender, and they have already made an offer to the player.

It will be interesting to see if they decide to come forward with a concrete proposal to Fulham now. The player is reportedly a target for French outfit AS Monaco as well, and he reportedly prefers a move to them.

Tottenham will not compete in the UEFA Champions League next season, which could be a problem when it comes to attracting top players. Adarabioyo has done well in the Premier League with Fulham, and he will look to test himself at the highest level.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can convince him to join them this summer. The defender is in the final year of his contract with the London club, and he could be available for a reasonable price this summer.

Tottenham will have to improve their defensive options this summer, and they have been linked with a number of central defenders in recent weeks. It will be interesting to see if they can bring in the right reinforcements before the window closes. Players like Edmond Tapsoba and Micky van de Ven are on their shortlist as well.

It is fair to assume that Adarabioyo is likely to cost far lesser than the two Bundesliga defenders because of his contract situation. Tottenham certainly have an exciting project at their disposal, and they have a talented squad as well.

They have appointed an exciting manager in Ange Postecoglou who prefers free-flowing attacking football. So the fans will be hoping that the Australian manager can get the side firing on all cylinders again. He will need a solid defensive base to build on, and signing a quality defender should be their top priority.

Tottenham conceded 63 goals in the league last season, and someone like Adarabioyo will certainly help them tighten up at the back. He could form a reliable partnership at the back with Cristian Romero.

Players like Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga and Joe Rodon have all been linked with permanent exits from the club this summer. So Tottenham might end up needing more than just one central defender by the end of the window.

Clueless is the only way I can describe Tottenhams transfer policy. We just seem to bounce from 1 name to another for any player that we are ” Looking” at. Why is it, the Top clubs in the premier league seem to be able to sign Quality players, with very little hassle and yet we can’t even sign 2nd rate players without a big hassle, Why?? We were linked with 6 goal keepers, 9 centre backs, 8 midfielders and so far, 7 strikers???? WHY, always the drama. For me the answer is simple, Daniel Levy. COYS
