Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are vying for Andrea Cambiaso, but Juventus might not part ways with him this summer.

According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest are interested in Andrea Cambiaso. And the Reds are ahead of the other suitors in the race to sign the 23-year-old. But Juventus might not cash in on him before the summer transfer window shuts down.

Andrea Cambiaso has had to bide his time since joining Juventus from Genoa last summer. The Italian defender embarked on various loan spells during his stint with Genoa before landing at Juventus. But he spent another campaign away from his parent club, with the Bianconeri offloading him this time.

The 23-year-old was decent as Bologna clinched a top-half finish in Serie A last season. And he chipped in with three assists in 34 appearances for the Italian club. Now back at Juventus, Cambiaso might become the first-choice left-back under Massimiliano Allegri. Meanwhile, several high-profile clubs, including Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, are keen on signing him.

Cambiaso has been on Tottenham’s radar for several weeks. And reports last month suggested that the North London club had approached Juventus for the full-back. But their interest in the player is surprising, considering Destiny Udogie has become the first-choice left-back under Ange Postecoglou.

In addition, with Ryan Sessegnon, Ivan Perisic, and Sergio Reguilon also being in the Tottenham squad, they do not need another left-back. And even if Perisic and Reguilon leave, Postecoglou will have enough resources at his disposal. The same goes for Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp having two dependable left-backs in his unit.

Andrew Robertson is the undisputed first-choice left-back, while Kostas Tsimikas has been a reliable performer for Liverpool. So it is difficult to see how Cambiaso might fit into the scheme of things at Anfield. Nonetheless, the Reds are ahead of Tottenham and Nottingham Forest in the race to sign the 23-year-old.

Meanwhile, Juventus might not cash in on the Italian full-back this summer, with Massimiliano Allegri deploying the player as the first-choice left-back. So it will be interesting to see if Liverpool, Tottenham, or Nottingham Forest can secure his services this summer.
