Valencia are interested in Tanguy Ndombele, with the Tottenham record signing not part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the season.

According to Fichajes, La Liga club Valencia hope to secure a deal with Tottenham for unwanted midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. The French international does not feature in Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the season, as Los Che could offer an escape route for Spurs’ record signing.

Tottenham may have done some innovative business in this window and integrated some of their other stars into the mix. But they still have plenty of work with outgoings. Ange Postecoglou has started the season brightly, with the win over Manchester United highlighting the team’s progress under the Australian.

The manager has a bloated midfield, and the club must offload a few players before the transfer deadline. Chief among those is their record €62 million signing Tanguy Ndombele, with the Frenchman not part of Postecoglou’s plans for the season.

There were reports that Postecoglou got incensed with his attitude and asked the club to sell him. While those stories are not confirmed yet, the Tottenham midfielder has no future at the club, despite his decent loan spell at Napoli last season.

There have been clubs looking at Ndombele from France, with Rennes one of the sides keen, but now, Valencia seem hopeful. Los Che are keen to bolster their side with a new midfielder after losing Yunus Musah to AC Milan.

They certainly cannot afford what Tottenham may ask for a permanent deal but might open their doors for a loan. Spurs’ desperation to move the midfielder along as soon as possible could play into Valencia’s hands as they seek an experienced presence for their young side.

While a move to Valencia seems possible, Ndombele might wait to evaluate more offers. Spurs hope to finalise an exit for him and other stars like Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with Atletico Madrid still interested in the latter.

As for Ndombele, Tottenham need to offload the midfielder, with no future in sight in North London. Whether he moves to Valencia remains the question. But if another big-name club arrives, the deal to the Spanish side may not materialise.
