Sofyan Amrabat accepts Liverpool transfer

Fiorentina star midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is ready to join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool amidst interest from Manchester United.

According to Corriere dello Sport via Paisley Gates, Manchester United have been interested in the services of Sofyan Amrabat throughout the transfer window. But they might end up losing to Liverpool in the race for his signatures.

The Red Devils have been linked with the 26-year-old midfielder throughout the transfer. According to multiple reports, they have an agreement on personal terms with the player. And, were looking to offload players in order to fund his move.

They are yet to accumulate enough funds to meet the demands of the Italian outfit. As a result, the race for Amrabat’s signature is still open and Liverpool are trying to strike a deal with the Italian club for his services. The Merseyside club recently missed out on the likes of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

Despite putting in their best efforts, the duo ended up joining Chelsea. And, Liverpool have been forced to look elsewhere for other options. Meanwhile, Amrabat has been in exceptional form over the last 18 months. He has done wonders for both club and country. He was amongst the best players at the FIFA World Cup last year and even helped Fiorentia reach the finals of two cup competitions.

His performances attracted the attention of the Merseyside club and they even tried to acquire his services. But, he was not keen on joining them. The Moroccan international preferred joining Manchester United as they have Champions League football to offer.

Despite failing with their initial attempt Liverpool are back in the race for his services. The Merseyside club want to land him at the club at any cost and are making moves to get it done as soon as possible. And, Jurgen Klopp has been in contact with the player to convince him about his project.

While initially Amrabat was not convinced about joining Liverpool, he is now ready to join Klopp’s team. And, all parties involved are now trying to figure out a way to complete the deal.

Fiorentina are looking for €30 million and they are unlikely to change their stance. While Liverpool seem ahead at this point in time, United could still bounce back and acquire the services of the 26-year-old. But, they will have to act fast to stand as chance.
