Crystal Palace are interested in signing 19-year-old Sporting CP winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, valued at €15 million.

According to a report from the A Bola via Sport Witness, Crystal Palace are pushing to sign Abdul Fatawu Issahaku. And they have now submitted an €10 million bid for the 19-year-old Sporting CP winger.

It will be interesting to see if Sporting are prepared to lower their asking price and sell the player for the reported offer. Apparently, the Portuguese outfit value the 19-year-old winger at €15 million this summer.

In addition to that, the Portuguese outfit only owns 50% of the player. So they will not be able to sanction his departure for a knockdown price. They are likely to demand a premium, and Crystal Palace will have to stump up the cash if they want to sign him.

Michael Olise has reportedly been linked with Chelsea this summer, and Crystal Palace have been scouring the market to replace him adequately. They have already lost Wilfried Zaha earlier this summer. So the Eagles need to boost their attacking options if they want to do well this season.

Crystal Palace looked toothless going forward last season, and they will be without the creativity and flair of Zaha now. And while Olise has committed his future to the South London club, they can still do with a new attacker. So the interest in Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is understandable.

Issahaku has the potential to develop into an important first-team player for Crystal Palace in the coming seasons, and he could prove to be a quality long-term investment for them. Regular football in the Premier League could help him develop further and improve as a footballer.

The 19-year-old has the technical attributes to thrive in English football, and he could develop into a key player for the Eagles in the coming season. Crystal Palace had a disappointing 2022/23 campaign, finishing 11th in the league table. They will look to push for a top-half finish this season and someone like Issahaku could definitely help them in the final third.

The talented young winger will add pace, flair and unpredictability to their attack. He will help create goal-scoring opportunities for his teammates as well. It will be interesting to see if he can adapt to English football quickly and hit the ground running at the London club.
