Serie A giants Juventus will reportedly look to agree to a contract worth €7 million per year with Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie.

According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Juventus will look to intensify the efforts to sign Franck Kessie in the ongoing transfer window. The Serie A giants have offered a contract worth €7 million per year to the Barcelona midfielder. The Catalan giants have already agreed to send the 26-year-old on loan to the Allianz Stadium this summer.

Franck Kessie has suffered a fall from grace since joining Barcelona in a Bosman move last summer. The Ivory Coast international would have hoped to become a pivotal figure for the Blaugrana. But he has been a rotation option for Xavi Hernandez since arriving from AC Milan.

While the 26-year-old has turned out 43 times thus far for Barcelona, he has managed less than 2,000 minutes of game time thus far. And with Barcelona still short of cash, Kessie’s future at the club is uncertain. Such a situation has not gone unnoticed either, with Juventus being among his prospective suitors.

Widespread reports have suggested that the Barcelona midfielder is a priority target for Juventus. And it is hardly surprising that the Serie A giants are keen on securing Kessie’s services this summer. That is because several players face an uncertain future at the Allianz Stadium ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Denis Zakaria and Weston McKennie do not feature in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans. In addition, Leandro Paredes has returned to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his loan spell. And recent reports have claimed that Juventus might cash in on Manuel Locatelli to balance the books in the wake of the recent financial controversy.

Kessie is thus a viable target for Juventus. And recent reports have claimed that the Serie A giants are closing in on signing the 26-year-old. The latest update reveals they have offered the player a contract worth €7 million per year.

It is unclear if Kessie is ready to accept the contract offer from Juventus. But earning €7 million per year will be a good payday for the Ivorian midfielder. And it will be interesting if the 26-year-old swaps Barcelona for Juventus in the ongoing transfer window.
