Serie A giants Juventus will reportedly prioritise a move for 26-year-old Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie this summer.

According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Franck Kessie remains the subject of interest from Juventus. And the Serie A giants view the Barcelona midfielder as a priority target for the ongoing transfer window. But the 26-year-old will only leave the Blaugrana to embark on an adventure in the Premier League.

Franck Kessie has endured a fall from grace since joining Barcelona in a Bosman move last summer. The Ivory Coast international burnt a few bridges when he left AC Milan as a free agent despite the countless attempts by the Rossoneri. But he has not been a happy camper at Spotify Camp Nou due to his bit-part status.

While the 26-year-old has turned out 43 times thus far for Barcelona, he has not even managed 2,000 minutes of game time. In addition, only a fraction of those appearances were from the get-go in a match. Meanwhile, amid Barcelona’s never-ending financial woes, Kessie’s future is highly uncertain. And several clubs are keen on signing him in the summer transfer window.

Recent reports have linked him with a few Premier League clubs, while Saudi Arabian outfits are also keen on signing him. But a return to Serie A might be the most feasible option for the former AC Milan talisman. And he is a priority target for Juventus in the ongoing transfer window.

The Barcelona midfielder has been on Juventus’s radar for a long time. And recent reports have claimed that the Serie A giants have already established contact to discuss Kessie’s future. Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that the 26-year-old is the priority midfield target for the Bianconeri this summer.

Juventus will likely part ways with Denis Zakaria this summer amid his links with West Ham United. In addition, Leandro Paredes has returned to Paris Saint-Germain following the expiration of his loan deal. So it behoves the Serie A giants to pursue a top-class midfielder in the ongoing transfer window.

Considering Kessie’s vast experience in Serie A, the Barcelona midfielder is a viable target for Juventus. But the 63-cap Ivory Coast international does not want to return to Italy. And he will only leave Barcelona to embark on an adventure in the Premier League. So Juventus will have an uphill task to land the 26-year-old this summer.
