Manchester United have been linked with a move for 25-year-old Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayindir this summer.

A report from Daily Mail claims that Manchester United are keen on signing Altay Bayindir. The 25-year-old goalkeeper will cost around £5 million, and Manchester United are certainly capable of paying the asking price. And the Red Devils have already held discussions over a possible summer deal.

It seems that Manchester United are hoping to bring in a quality replacement for Dean Henderson if he leaves the club. They have already replaced David de Gea by signing Andre Onana from Inter Milan. But the Red Devils will need to bring in a second-choice goalkeeper as well, and Bayindir could prove to be a quality option.

The 25-year-old is reportedly looking for regular football, and that is unlikely to be available at Manchester United. It will be interesting to see if the Red Devils can convince him to accept the role of a squad player.

The Turkish international has done well in Fenerbahce, and he has the ability to be a useful squad player for the Red Devils. So it is hardly surprising that the Red Devils are considering securing his services this summer.

Manchester United need to improve their squad in order to challenge for major trophies, and signing Bayindir for £5 million will add depth and quality to the side. The 25-year-old will hope to establish himself as the first-choice goalkeeper at Manchester United if the transfer goes through. But it remains to be seen whether he can outperform Onana in training.

Meanwhile, Dean Henderson has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest. The England goalkeeper is keen on regular first-team football, and Manchester United will not be able to provide them with that opportunity. It makes sense for both parties to go separate ways.

As for Manchester United, it will be interesting to see if they can bring in the right reinforcements before the summer transfer window closes. The opportunity to play for a big club like Manchester United will be difficult to turn down for the Turkish international, even if they cannot provide him with regular first-team opportunities.

The player certainly has the quality to push Onana for the starting spot and he could be a useful option for the club during the cup games and in European matches as well. The asking price seems quite reasonable and Manchester United should look to get the deal done.
