Chelsea have put forward a considerable offer for the services of 21-year-old Crystal Palace sensation Michael Olise.

According to Fabrice Hawkins, Chelsea are keen on having Michael Olise in their ranks ahead of next season and have submitted their first offer for the services of the 21-year-old Crystal Palace utility man.

The Blues are keen on bolstering their squad, with Moises Caicedo their top target, ahead of next season. And Olise has now emerged on Chelsea’s radar. The French youth international has been on fire over the past 12 months, and he is considered to be a huge prospect for the future. Olise has come through the ranks at Reading, he made it to their first team back in the winter of 2020.

And after an impressive 18-month stint with their first team, the 21-year-old joined Crystal Palace. Since making the move to the Eagles in the summer of 2021, the French Under-21 star has gone from strength to strength. He has featured in a total of 71 games for the Eagles and has been involved in 25 goals.

The 21-year-old has found the back of the net on six occasions and has bagged a total of 19 assists. As far as last season is concerned, the French youth international was involved in a total of 40 matches and was on the pitch for 3000 minutes. Despite being just 21, Olise is already a star player who could do wonders for the Blues. Mauricio Pochettino is keen on having the former Reading star in his ranks because of his versatility. He is capable enough to feature as an attacking midfielder, a right winger as well as a central midfielder if needed.

His versatility will allow the former Spurs boss to have multiple options to work with. As a result, he is keen on having the 21-year-old in their ranks and the club are pushing hard for his services.

The Blues have made their first offer for the 21-year-old, placing a bid of just less than €45 million with add-ons included. And, it will be interesting to see how the Eagles respond to the opening bid given that the player still has three years left on his deal with them.

Meanwhile, the player is keen on making the move to Chelsea. He is excited about their project and wants to be a part of it. As a result, it will be interesting to see how things pan out in the coming days.

Hmm, not sure Olise will go to Chelsea (who finished one place below CPFC last season) as he’d be sent out on loan to Strasbourg or another European side which would be a step backwards in his career as he’s a regular Premier League starter at CPFC. If he does leave CPFC, he should choose Man City where he’d play in Champions League and Premier League and almost guaranteed on winning a medal next season. Chelsea is not a good move for Michael Olise.
