Barcelona will reportedly look to sign 18-year-old Spanish full-back Edu Sanchez from fourth-division club CD Badajoz this summer.
According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Edu Sanchez is the subject of interest from Barcelona. The Catalan giants view the 18-year-old full-back as a valuable addition to the reserve side. And he will be the second left-back to join Barcelona Atletic in the ongoing transfer window after Gerard Martin.
Edu Sanchez has spent his formative years with several Spanish clubs. The Spaniard passed through the academies at Moralo CP and CD Diocesano before joining CD Badajoz in July 2021. And after rising through the ranks at the Extremaduran club, he made his first-team debut last season.
The teenage sensation has also made his international debut in age-group football, turning out twice for Spain under-18. Meanwhile, Sanchez has made 20 appearances thus far for CD Badajoz.
