Conor Gallagher has been linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer, with Tottenham and West Ham United keen.

A report from Football Transfers claims that Chelsea are prepared to sell Conor Gallagher this summer. But the Blues will demand a fee in excess of £40 million for the 23-year-old, a target for Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

The 23-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot at Stamford Bridge, and he needs to leave the club in order to play regularly. The player has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

It remains to be seen whether his suitors are willing to pay that kind of money for him. Tottenham need to bring in central midfield reinforcements and Gallagher could prove to be a quality acquisition.

The 23-year-old is a tireless worker and he will add defensive cover to the Tottenham midfield as well. The Chelsea midfielder is quite young and he is likely to improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into a key player for Tottenham and regular football in the Premier League could help him fulfil his tremendous potential.

The midfielder was exceptional during his time on loan at Crystal Palace, and he will look to get his career back on track with regular football. Meanwhile, West Ham United need to bring in midfield reinforcements as well.

The Hammers recently sanctioned the departure of Declan Rice to Arsenal and they will have to replace the 24-year-old adequately. Rice has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the league and the Hammers will have to fill the void left by him.

While Gallagher is not similar to Rice in terms of playing style, he could still be a quality acquisition for West Ham. The Hammers will need to bring in a quality defensive midfielder along with Gallagher as well. Both Tottenham and West Ham would represent an exciting opportunity for the 23-year-old Chelsea midfielder and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

The 23-year-old certainly has the potential to justify the outlay in the coming seasons, and it remains to be seen whether the likes of Tottenham and West Ham are ready to shell out £40 million for him in the coming weeks.

40 million is top dollar for Gallagher , but he’s worth it . If Westham can get McTominay for 30-40 million they should do it , but if not , Gallagher is a good option for the price . Amrabat is the best value at 25-30 million and Adams for 30 million would be OK for Westham . Palinha is perhaps the best player , but Westham can’t afford 60-90 million with FFP rules and several more players needed , all for 130 million tops . Westham shouldn’t get suckered in to buying over priced European pub team players .

West Ham again failing to buy anyone 3 weeks before season begins,we should have 2 midfielders a frontman and left back minimum bought and in training now alongside there team mates, the usual transfer fiasco of being linked to 20-30 players but with the added phrase of thinking about, had a 50% below value rejected, too expensive being the cry everyday then they end up going to a rival for quid more than our own valuation…same every year without fail, just waiting for the last minute.com panic buy to lick in
