Riyad Mahrez is all set to part ways with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and join Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli.

According to a report by Football Insider, Riyad Mahrez is set to join Al-Ahli in the ongoing transfer window. The 32-year-old is all set to leave Manchester City for the Saudi Pro League club. He has agreed on personal terms with the Saudi Arabian club and is all set to undergo his medical.

Mahrez is expected a complete his move in the near future and is all set to be the next big Premier League star who makes the move to the Middle East. The SPL Clubs have been doing incredible business in the ongoing window, as they have signed some of the biggest stars from across Europe. And, they are all set to add another gem to their league.

The 32-year-old played an important role in helping Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City win the treble. The Algerian international featured in a total of 47 matches and was on the pitch for over 3,000 minutes. He managed to contribute towards 28 goals, scoring 15 and assisting 13 times.

Despite being at the top of his game and still having two years left on his deal with City, the former Leicester City forward has decided to make the move to Saudi Arabia. Al-Ahli have offered him a lucrative contract worth £86 million. The Algerian international is all set to put pen to paper on a two-year deal that will see him earn £43 million per season. Mahrez will also have the option to extend his stay by another 12 months.

He is convinced about the project and is all set to leave the treble winners in favour of the Saudi Club. The 32-year-old is flying to Dubai to undergo a medical with Al-Ahli. While the details regarding a potential transfer fee are not yet clear, the expectations are that there will be a considerable fee involved.

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old is all set to be their third major signing of this window for Al-Ahli. They have already acquired the services of Edouard Mendy from Chelsea and Roberto Firmino as a free agent after his contract with Liverpool ran out. If they manage to complete the signing of Mahrez, the SPL club will be a force to reckon with next season.
