Manchester United are closing in on an agreement on personal terms with Andre Onana with the idea of a five-year deal, including an option being discussed.

According to De Telegraaf, Manchester United could look to find an agreement on personal terms in the coming days. The keeper remains a priority for Erik ten Hag, but the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee as Inter Milan remains adamant on their €60 million asking price.

Manchester United are eager to solve their goalkeeping situation ahead of the next free days. There’s growing speculation that David De Gea could leave despite reports claiming the club are willing to talk to the Spaniard.

If the Spaniard departs, they clearly need a new No.1, with Andre Onana their primary target. Inter Milan star will come at a huge cost for the Red Devils, but Erik ten Hag continues to urge the club to make the transfer happen.

However, they were also linked with Justin Bijlow as a cheaper alternative to the Cameroonian, but the Inter Star remains the priority target at this stage. There have been recent reports of direct talks with the Italian giants, but nothing has resulted in an agreement.

Manchester United have advanced in their pursuit of the 27-year-old keeper, with talk of the Red Devils closing in on a €55 million move. Now, the club are trying to agree on personal terms with the Cameroonian, with talk of a five-year deal rife.

The Dutch publication insists Manchester United are ready to offer a five-year deal, although they also contradict their story by suggesting a four-year contract with the option of another season. It does seem viable by their standards, and the keeper might agree to sign for the Red Devils.

For the Red Devils, there’s still work to do with agreeing on a fee with Inter Milan. The Italian giants have remained adamant on a €50 million fixed fee with bonuses as an addition. It may seem viable with the stature of the 27-year-old, but it may end up hampering Manchester United in their pursuit of a new striker, who would cost a huge sum.
