Manchester United have informed Feyenoord and Justin Bijlow of their interest amid heavy links to Andre Onana.

According to Algemeen Dagblad via Sport Witness, Manchester United have informed Justin Bijlow and Feyenoord about their interest. The Red Devils remain linked with Andre Onana to become their new No.1. But the Eredivisie star is considered a cheaper alternative to the Inter Milan star.

Manchester United’s transfer business continues to thread on confusing waters. Fans know where the team needs strengthening. But there is uncertainty about how much support Erik ten Hag will receive from his board.

Reports have pointed to a possible £100 net spend window, which would not suffice what Ten Hag needs. Manchester United want a new striker and a goalkeeper, at the very least, having already signed Mason Mount in a massive deal from Chelsea.

Manchester United’s situation became complex due to the contractual situation with David de Gea. The Spaniard had reportedly signed a new deal, but the club withdrew the offer. The situation has added pressure on Ten Hag, who must request the club for additional funds to sign a new keeper.

Andre Onana seems like their priority target in this particular position. Inter Milan are happy to sell if interested clubs can cough up £50 million for the keeper. Ten Hag knows the Cameroonian well from his days at Ajax. But spending that sort of money has put him under all sorts of pressure.

Manchester United reportedly made an offer, according to notable journalist Alfredo Pedulla. But it will fall short of what Inter Milan want. Meanwhile, Ten Hag reportedly gave reassurances to Onana about making a concerted effort to sign the keeper in this window.

However, looking at their situation, they will have to prioritise their funds on a striker, leaving them short of moving for Onana. Hence, they were recently linked with Justin Bijlow of Feyenoord as a cheaper alternative to the Inter Milan star.

Manchester United have now informed Feyenoord and the 25-year-old about their interest in signing the Dutch international. The Eredivise club are not overly keen to sell him but may consider offers of the right quality. They have not informed the Red Devils of a price and are happy to wait for the first bid to arrive.

The 25-year-old Bijlow will prove a cheaper alternative to Onana, but Feyenoord will look to maximise the situation. Manchester United will have to decide on who their main target between the sticks is, as both options would prove good for Ten Hag’s squad.
