AC Milan and Inter Milan are both interested in acquiring the services of 19-year-old Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos.

According to 90min, AC Milan and Inter Milan are interested in signing Andrey Santos on loan. The 19-year-old Brazilian wonderkid has been doing wonders over the past six months. But with the youngster expected to have a limited role at Chelsea, both Serie A giants are keen on having him on loan. And they have already contacted the West London club for the teenager.

Santos has come through the ranks at Vasco da Gama. He made quite a name for himself while playing for the Brazilian club as well as at the Brazil youth international level. The 19-year-old’s impressive performances for both club and country attracted a lot of attention.

Quite a few clubs wanted to sign him back in January. But, Chelsea were the quickest to react as they acquired the teenage sensation for around €20 million. While they did manage to sign the 19-year-old, he did not qualify for a work permit to play in England.

The teenager was loaned back to the Brazilian club. He made his international debut back in March in an international friendly against Morocco and is now eligible to play in the Premier League. Santos has joined the Blues and has started pre-season training.

With Chelsea full of stars, the 19-year-old is not expected to get the desired minutes. He will most likely feature for their reserve team. As a result, clubs have started showing interest in signing the teenager on loan.

FC Porto and Sporting CP are keen on signing Santos on loan. However, the biggest news at this point in time is the interest of AC Milan and Inter Milan. Despite their heroics in the past few seasons, the Serie A clubs do not really have great financial strength and rely on loan signings to make sure they have enough depth in their squad. And they have already contacted Chelsea for Santos.

Both the Milan clubs have lost a few star players in the ongoing window. So the arrival of Santos will help them cope with those absences. He has showcased exceptional promise over the past six months and can do wonders for the Italian clubs. However, with AC Milan developing a close relation with Chelsea amid talks for Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, they might fanct their chances.

But, it won’t be easy to sign him on loan because Mauricio Pochettino is keen on having a look at the teenager throughout the pre-season. He believes the 19-year-old could play a part in the Premier League and will only make a decision on his future after the pre-season.
