Tottenham Hotspur are keen on acquiring the services of the 25-year-old Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo.

According to a report by Foot Mercato, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having Tosin Adarabioyo in their ranks. The London club struggled defensively last season, and their new manager Ange Postecoglou is keen on bringing in reinforcement to ensure they put on a better show. Spurs have already contacted the former Manchester City defender and will soon approach Fulham.

Tottenham did not have the best of outings last season. They struggled to live up to the expectations of the fans and went without a trophy for yet another season. Spurs were forced to sack Antonio Conte after he blasted the club and the players in a post-match press conference towards the end of the season.

After sacking the Italian manager, the hunt for a new boss began, and they managed to secure the services of Postecoglou. The Australian manager had already identified the key areas that need strengthening.

He wanted to sign a new goalkeeper, a midfielder as well as a centre-back. Guglielmo Vicario’s arrival has solved the goalkeeping situation, and James Maddison’s deal will bolster his midfield. But, the Tottenham boss is still looking for a new centre-back.

Postecoglou along with the board has identified Adarabioyo as a potential target. The 25-year-old centre-back has been doing a great job for the Cottagers of late. And since he has Premier League experience, he could directly slot into their back line.

Last season, he featured in a total of 29 matches and was on the pitch for close to 2,500 minutes. The former Manchester City defender surely did his bit and could be a great addition to their ranks. With just a year left on his deal, even the club might be ready to sell him for the right price.

Tottenham have already established contacts with the player’s agents as they look to secure his services. They are in conversation with his entourage as they look to secure a personal agreement with the player. Meanwhile, the North London club will contact Fulham this week to enquire about the conditions of a potential transfer.

With Spurs keen on having him in their ranks and his contract running out in a year’s time, it looks like the Cottagers will most likely agree to a deal. However, there are other clubs interested in the 25-year-old, and they might make Tottenham’s life difficult.
