West Ham United are keen on acquiring the service of 24-year-old Leeds United defensive midfielder Tyler Adams.

According to Yorkshire Evening Post, West Ham United want to sign Tyler Adams ahead of next season. The 24-year-old defensive midfielder’s future has been uncertain of late, and he could be on the move in the ongoing summer. And the Hammers have already submitted an enquiry for the player.

Adams came through the ranks at New York Red Bulls before joining German club RB Leipzig. He went from strength to strength while playing for Leipzig, and his exceptional performances resulted in a move to English club Leeds United ahead of the 2022/23 season in a deal worth £20 million.

The 24-year-old featured in a total of 26 matches for the English club this past season. He surely did his bit but could not help them avoid relegation. Adams was out injured in the last part of the season, and it cost them big time.

With Leeds United back in the Championship, quite a few of their players are on the radar of top English clubs. The likes of Jack Harrison, Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville could all be on the move in the ongoing summer.

Meanwhile, West Ham United have turned their attention towards Tyler Adams. The Hammers are all set to sell their skipper Declan Rice to Arsenal for a whopping £105 million. Rice’s departure will leave a huge void in the centre of the park, and they are looking to sign Adams as a replacement.

Moyes will be handed a decent portion of Rice’s transfer fee to bolster his squad. And, he is focused on acquiring the services of the American international. While it won’t be easy to replace the England international, the Leeds United midfielder can surely help Moyes cope with his absence.

The West Ham manager also has his eyes set on Denis Zakaria and James Ward-Prowse as he looks to bolster his midfield. However, Moyes’s priority at this point in time seems to be acquiring the services of Adams.

According to the report, they have already made an approach. West Ham have enquired about the availability of the Amercian international, and they await Leeds’s response before taking the next step.
