The 16-year-old defensive prodigy plays as a left-back for the Hornets and has impressed those watching him in action. He has represented England at the U16 level, but there is plenty of promise to suggest he might play for the senior national team one day.
Similarly, he has shown enough maturity with his displays to make many believe he could become a top-notch Premier League star. Clubs have not wasted time making their interest evident, halting Watford’s plans for the 16-year-old.
The Hornets had reportedly offered him a two-year professional contract, which he could have signed after turning 17. But Amass has taken a huge interest in his services, from Manchester United, Chelsea and even Arsenal, into account to decide on a new challenge.
Amass might have felt the Manchester United project would prove good for his career. As per reports, he got offered a four-year contract.
