Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign Gleison Bremer amidst interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

According to Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring the services of Gleison Bremer. The 26-year-old Juventus defender has made quite a name for himself with impressive performances in the 2022/23 season. And he is on the radar of three of the biggest Premier League clubs. The former Torino man might cost around £50 million this summer.

Bremer came into the limelight while playing for Torino. His impressive performances for Il Toro attracted the attention of Juventus, who managed to acquire him last summer. Since joining the Old Lady, the 26-year-old has made a total of 43 matches and has been on the pitch for over 3,800 minutes.

He featured in 30 Serie A matches and even contributed towards five goals. The Brazil international became an integral part of Juventus’ first team in his very first season for the club. Despite having a contract with the Italian giants until the summer of 2027, he could be parting ways with the club just a year after joining them given their legal troubles.

Juventus have missed out on next season’s Champions League because of a fresh ten-point deduction for false accounting towards the end of the season. The Old Lady have quite a lot going on in the background and it could result in the player parting ways with the club.

Meanwhile, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are ready to push for him. The Blues are all set to part ways with Kalidou Koulibaly, and Bremer could be a potential replacement. He is a player that Mauricio Pochettino admires and would love to have in his ranks.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are looking to strengthen their defence. Erik ten Hag is looking to strengthen his defensive rotation. And with Harry Maguire likely to leave, pushing for the 26-year-old does make sense.

However, both Manchester United and Chelsea are behind Tottenham in the race for the Juventus defender. The London club struggled defensively throughout the 2022/23 season. They conceded 63 goals in the league last season, the sixth most.

As a result, their new manager Ange Postecoglou is expected to prioritize strengthening his defence and Bremer is one of his targets. While Juventus are yet to put a price tag on the Brazil international, reports suggest that any club that wants to sign Bremer could have to pay up to £50 million.
