Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard is reportedly open to joining Barcelona, Chelsea, or Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Christian Falk has told Caught Offside that Benjamin Pavard will be interested in joining one of four prospective suitors in the summer transfer window. The versatile French defender is keen on leaving Bayern Munich. And he is open to moving to Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, or Manchester City.

Benjamin Pavard has reached a crossroads in his career, as he is not the undisputed first-choice defender for either Bayern Munich or France. It was not long ago that life was a bed of roses for the 27-year-old. But after a run-in with Didier Deschamps, he has become a bit-part player for France. And he was in and out of the starting lineup at Bayern Munich this past season.

The French international has made 162 appearances for Bayern Munich, chipping in with 12 goals and 12 assists. But Pavard’s future is uncertain as he will enter the final year of his contract next weekend. And the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner wants to leave Bayern, with Barcelona, Chelsea, and Liverpool among his prospective suitors.

Widespread reports have continually linked Barcelona with the versatile defender. And with the right-back issues not going away, Barcelona can do with a player of Pavard’s qualities. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old is open to joining the Blaugrana. But in addition, he will not turn down a move to Chelsea or Liverpool either.

Chelsea can utilise the Bayern Munich defender as a centre-back, his preferred position. With Thiago Silva in the twilight of his career, the Frenchman can be a long-term successor to the Brazilian defender.

As for Liverpool, the Reds can use Pavard as a right-back if Trent Alexander-Arnold plays as a midfielder next season. Alternatively, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner can be Ibrahima Konate’s long-term central defensive partner. So he is a viable target for Liverpool, with his agents already in contact with the Merseyside club.

Christian Falk has revealed that the 27-year-old is also open to joining Manchester City. And if the four clubs launch the offensive to secure Pavard’s services, a summer deal will likely see the light of day. It will be interesting to see if ends his stint with Bayern Munich in the coming weeks.
