Real Madrid “could think about” selling 23-year-old French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni for €80 million amid interest from Chelsea.
According to a report by SPORT, as relayed by Sport Witness, Aurelien Tchouameni is a top target for Chelsea heading into the summer transfer window. And the Blues are ready to table a bid worth €80 million to sign the 23-year-old. Meanwhile, Real Madrid “could think about” selling the youngster for that amount if they receive such an offer.
Aurelien Tchouameni endured a hit-and-miss debut season with Real Madrid after arriving from AS Monaco last summer. The French international rebuffed interest from Premier League clubs to move to the Santiago Bernabeu. And he immediately became a regular for Real Madrid, especially with Casemiro moving to Manchester United.
But Tchouameni’s stock dropped as the season progressed, particularly in the last few weeks of the 2022/23 season. Nonetheless, he turned out 50 times for Real Madrid, chipping in with four assists. However, with Real Madrid signing Jude Bellingham, Tchouameni’s prospective suitors have arisen. And Chelsea will attempt to secure his services in the summer transfer window.
The Blues have already submitted an offer worth €60 million to Real Madrid for the 23-year-old. But Los Blancos immediately turned down the bid as they did not want to take a loss on last summer’s investment. However, the report claims Chelsea will return with a new proposal. And they are ready to put €80 million on the table.
Chelsea will lose N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic this summer. In addition, Conor Gallagher and Ruben Loftus-Cheek face uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge. So it behoves Chelsea to scour the market for possible midfield solutions. And Tchouameni’s name features highly on Chelsea’s wishlist this summer.

Meanwhile, SPORT has claimed that Real Madrid might consider selling the 23-year-old for €80 million. The Spanish publication has suggested it could be an “interesting amount” that Real Madrid “could think about”.
