Real Madrid recently discussed a possible summer move for 30-year-old Spanish goalkeeper David Soria with Angel Torres, the Getafe president.

According to a report by Spanish outlet MARCA, David Soria is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. And Los Blancos recently held talks over a possible deal for the 30-year-old Getafe goalkeeper. The meeting featured Jose Angel Sanchez, general director of Real Madrid and Angel Torres, president of Getafe.

David Soria spent his formative years in his homeland, with a large chunk of his youth career coming at Real Madrid. The Spaniard progressed through the ranks at La Fabrica but could not establish a foothold in the first-team squad due to the presence of Iker Casillas. And he finally rose to prominence during a five-year stint with Sevilla.

But Soria’s stock has skyrocketed since joining Getafe from Sevilla nearly half a decade ago. And the 30-year-old has turned out nearly 200 times for the Madrilenian club, keeping 68 clean sheets. But he faces an uncertain future at Coliseum Alfonso Perez amid emerging interest from his former club Real Madrid.

Real Madrid might delve into the market for a goalkeeper heading into the summer transfer window. Florentino Perez has suggested the Merengues are done with their business for the year. But one signing is contingent on Andriy Lunin’s long-term future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Ukrainian goalkeeper is unhappy about his minimal game time at Real Madrid. And recent reports have linked him with a move away from the Bernabeu heading into the summer transfer window. So Lunin’s departure will compel Real Madrid to enter the market for a goalkeeper. And Soria has emerged as a viable target for Los Blancos.

It has now emerged that Real Madrid and Getafe have discussed a possible summer move for the 30-year-old Spanish goalkeeper. Angel Torres, the Getafe president, recently visited Valdebebas to discuss the future of Juanmi Latasa with Jose Angel Sanchez, Real Madrid’s general director, and Juanma Lopez, Juanmi’s agent.
