Real Madrid will reportedly look to sign 21-year-old German international Karim Adeyemi, valued at over €80 million by Borussia Dortmund.

According to a report by German outlet Bild, Karim Adeyemi is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. And the Merengues have already contacted the entourage of the German international. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund will demand over €80 million to part ways with the young attacker.

Karim Adeyemi took the brave decision of kick-starting his professional career away from his homeland. The 21-year-old left Germany as a 16-year-old after passing through the academies of three clubs. And he rose to prominence during his stint with Red Bull Salzburg, going from strength to strength in four years at the Austrian club.

The German international returned to his homeland last summer by joining Borussia Dortmund. And while the youngster endured some teething problems, he managed a respectable tally of nine goals and six assists in 32 appearances. Adeyemi’s progress has not gone unnoticed either, with several high-profile clubs, including Real Madrid, setting their sights on him.

Real Madrid will scour the market for multiple offensive reinforcements in the summer transfer window. The Merengues will officially lose four attackers at the end of the month. And while Eden Hazard and Mariano Diaz were bit-part players, Real Madrid must fill the void left by the departures of Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio.

Several attackers have thus emerged on Real Madrid’s radar, with Joselu on the cusp of sealing a move next week. And while the Spanish giants are yet to identify the ideal successor to Benzema, Adeyemi’s name has popped up on their wishlist. And the German international is an intriguing target for Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old is a versatile attacker who can play across the frontline. So when he plays along with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, he can lead the line for Real Madrid. But the youngster will not come cheap, with Borussia Dortmund demanding over €80 million to part ways with him. Meanwhile, the Merengues have contacted Adeyemi’s entourage over a possible summer move.

€80 million might seem like a steep price. But considering Borussia Dortmund signed the German international last summer, the valuation is understandable. That said, it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid will be willing to pay over €80 million to secure Adeyemi’s services. If so, the 21-year-old will become the second Dortmund player to join Los Blancos after Jude Bellingham this summer.
